Chionodoxa Luciliae Alba
Chionodoxa Luciliae Alba, 'Glory of the Snow' bulbs like to be planted in a sunny position with well-drained soil be it Acidic or Alkaline. They are ideal for rock gardens or for naturalising well under deciduous shrubs or trees. Chinodoxa bulbs will flower for 3-4 weeks with a carpet of dainty, star-shaped, white flowers. These low-growing bulbs will flower in February to March. Chionodoxa are great for creating a blanket of flowers at the base of your other plants and shrubs.

These glistening white little beauties will shine bright in the spring sunshine adding that snowy-looking carpet under your trees and shrubs.

Chionodoxa will go well with Anemone Blanda and/or Cyclamen Hederifolium.

  • Find a location with well-drained soil be it Acidic or Alkaline.
  • Chionodoxa prefer full sun but will grow in partially-shaded areas also.
  • If planting in the garden, plant the bulbs 6-8cm below the soil surface.
  • If planting in Pots, find a container and fill it with good-quality, well-drained soil. Ensure there is adequate draining holes.
  • Plant in the Autumn, September through November.
  • After planting, water the Chionodoxa well, gently soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs.
  • Chinodoxa will flower early Spring, February to March.
