Crocus Sativus is scented
Crocus Sativus
Saffron bulbs or Crocus Sativus are popular with the autumn gardener. This plant produces deep lilac/pink flowers with contrasting yellow and orange stamen.

'Grow your own saffron spice!' Saffron Crocus does indeed produce the well known, expensive Saffron Spice but to produce about 1gm of Saffron spice, you'll need to carefully harvest about 150 of these small, showy crocus plants. But don't worry, if you are not growing these beauties to sell the saffron commercially, the display they give off is just as rewarding!

Dispatched in Autumn (Sept to Nov)
