Asiatic
ASIATIC LILIES. These lilies come in a wide variety of vibrant colours. These early flowering (june/july) non-scented varieties create a spectacular feature in borders or pots. They will tolerate all soils but must be well drained.
Double Oriental
These beautiful double varieties have are pollen free. They are very fragrant, but as they are oriental they prefer acid soil (erecacious). If your soil is alkaIine, plant in containers in erecacious compost.
Longiflorum
These delicately scented later flowering (august) lilies are lime tolerant and therefore suitable for borders or pots. Soil must be well drained.
Longiflorum Asiatic
These lilies produce a wide variety of vibrantly coloured blooms. They are lime tolerant and therefore suitable for borders or pots. Soil must be well drained
Longiflorum Oriental
These lilies have enormous blooms, they are very highly scented (absolutely stunning). They will tolerate most soil conditions but must be well drained.
NEW INTRODUCTIONS
Oriental
These lilies flower mid-season (july/august). They are highly scented varieties preferring an erecacious compost. They will not tolerate an alkaline soil (lime). If this is the case plant in containers.
Oriental Trumpet
These taller lilies are sweetly scented and produce a stunnning show of magnificant blooms. They are lime tolerant and therefore ideal for borders or containers. Soil must be well drained
Species
These lilies grow especially well in the garden, most enjoying dappled shade. They naturalize really well. Most have recurvus petals (and are commonly named turks cap lilies)
