Feed them lots of water during the summer months.
Crocosmia can be left over winter, just give them a good mulching over before the first frosts in Autumn.
If you're in a frost-prone area, then you could lift them and store them over winter in a frost-free place and replant them again mid-Spring.
If you're leaving them in the ground over winter, dead leave them before the new foliage sprouts through.
