This can seem a bit strange, especially if you&#8217;re used to plants keeping lush green leaves during flowering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"298\" data-end=\"580\">In early spring, the foliage grows quickly to absorb sunlight and produce energy through photosynthesis. This energy is stored in the bulb to support the upcoming flower.<\/p>\n<p>Once the bulb has enough stored energy, the plant shifts its focus to flowering, and the leaves are no longer needed.
