I was advised to plane them in normal multi purpose compost.<\/p>\n<p>My questions are\u2026..<br \/>\n1. when to plant them.<br \/>\n2. Use multi-purpose compost with added drainage (like grit or perlite), and plant the bulbs about 7\u201310cm deep with the growing point facing upwards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"780\">\n<p data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"780\">When they will flower:<br data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"622\" \/>Calla Lilies usually flower around 8 to 12 weeks after planting, so if you plant them now, you can expect beautiful blooms in approx 8-12 weeks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"1130\">\n<p data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"1130\">Do I lift the bulbs after flowering?<br data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"828\" \/>Yes \u2014\u00a0 it\u2019s best to lift the bulbs before the first frost in autumn. Let the foliage die back naturally, then dig up the tubers, clean them off, and store them in a cool, dry, frost-free place (like a shed or garage) over winter, ready to replant next year.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1249\">If you need any more guidance, please don\u2019t hesitate to get in touch.
