Does this still apply as the bulbs already have growing tips 2 inches high. In other words do I still cover the growing tips with 4-6 inches of compost. They will be planted in pots. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"hubmaster_faq_answer\">If your lily bulbs have a slight growing tip already, then plant with 4 inches of soil from the tip.
