Alliums (also known as Ornamental Onions) are perennial so they will flower year after year and are incredibly long-lived and flower for ages. Alliums like to be planted in full sunlight and in a well-drained soil. Once you have found the perfect spot in your garden to grow your Alliums, you need to dig holes in the flower bed that are three times the circumference of the bulb. For example, if the bulb is two inches in size then it needs to be planted six inches deep. Plant the bulbs about 8-12inches apart. For impact, plant Allium bulbs in groups. Alliums work well in rockeries and crowded gardens as they don’t take up much space.

Allium Drumstick

FAQ – When and where is best to plant Alliums? Continue reading →

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

55,33
6,64,65,66,67,68,69,70,71,72,73,63,74,75,76,77,78
post-5258","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-alliums","category-faq","tag-alliums","tag-autumn-planted-bulbs","tag-autumn-planted-flowers","tag-flowers-for-rockeries","tag-flowers-that-grow-in-full-sun","tag-how-to-plant-and-grow-alliums","tag-how-to-plant-ornamental-onions","tag-planting","tag-purple-flowers","tag-spring-flowering-bulbs","tag-sunny-garden","tag-tall-flowers","tag-violet-flowers","tag-when-to-grow-alliums","tag-where-to-grow-alliums","tag-which-soil-to-plant-alliums-in","tag-white-flowers
["GET
