Ann knight &#8211;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"hubmaster_faq_blockquote\"><p>Tips on how and when to plant spring daffodil bulbs soil etc and how to look after them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"hubmaster_faq_answer\">Hi there<\/p>\n<p>Daffodils bulbs need planting in the autumn for spring flowering. Find a location with well-drained soil. Daffodils will not thrive in water-logged areas.<br \/>\nDaffodils like to receive full sun for most of the day.<br \/>\nIf planting in the garden, plant the bulbs with their pointed tops 10-15cm (4-6&#8243;) below the soil surface with smaller bulbs placed more shallowly than larger ones. Space the bulbs 7-10cm (3-4&#8243;) apart. Allow 4 to 5 bulbs per square foot.<br \/>\nIf planting in Pots, find a large container and fill it with good-quality, well-drained soil. Ensure there is adequate draining holes.<br \/>\nPlant in the Autumn, September through November.<br \/>\nAfter planting, water the Daffodils well, gently soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs.<br \/>\nDaffodils will flower early Spring.<\/p>\n<p>After flowering has finished for the season leave the foliage in place; don&#8217;t cut it off.<br \/>\nThe leaves will gather sunlight, create food through photosynthesis and strengthen the bulbs for the future.<br \/>\nWater as needed during active growth periods.<br \/>\nBy mid summer the leaves may yellow and die back.<br \/>\nFoliage may be removed at this point.<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"hubmaster_faq_editor\">The Hart Family<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi there<\/p>\n<p>Daffodils bulbs need planting in the autumn for spring flowering.
