Summer Flowering Bulbs are delivered in Spring

Delivery and P&P

Summer Flowering Bulbs are dispatched from the end of February to the end of May.
All orders should be dispatched within 3-5 working days during this time.
However, during the months of April and May, we may allow up to 10 working days for dispatch due to exhibiting at the flower shows. 
Postage cost to mainland UK (excluding N.Ireland, Highlands and Isles) is £4.99.
All out of area postcodes are charged at £9.50.
Orders over £60 qualify for FREE delivery to mainland UK (excluding N.Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Highlands and Isles).

When your order is due for dispatch, you will receive a tracking email from us to track your parcel.
Your parcel will be sent on a 48 hour tracked service with Yodel.

Returns and Refunds

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched.
All returns must be returned at your cost within 7 days of receipt.
Payment for the returned goods will be refunded within 7 days of the goods being received by us, less the postage charges.

Planting Crinums in the Garden

• Plant Crinums in the spring months for summer flowering.
• Find a position with full sun or partial shade.
• If planting in the garden, ensure your soil is free-draining. You can add some mulch to your soil to enrich it.
• Plant with the pointy end of the bulb upwards with the top of bulb just above soil level.
• Water in well after planting and continue to water regularly throughout the season.

 

Planting Crinums in Pots/Containers

• Bulbs should be planted in the spring for flowering from July to September.
• If planting in containers, use a good-quality, multi-purpose compost with added grit. Make sure your pot is free draining.
• Plant with the pointy end of the bulb upwards with the top of bulb just above soil level.
• Plant 3-5 bulbs to a 14-16" pot/container.

How to care for Crinums

• When the flowers fade, remove each one to encourage further flowering from new buds.
• After flowering, remove the old stems entirely.
• If you are leaving your Crinums in the ground over winter, add a layer of mulch around the bulb to protect them and cover them with extra mulch.
• If you are lifting and storing them over winter, cut back all the foliage and lift the bulbs out of the ground, then store them in a light, frost-free place.
• The bulbs can then be replanted the following spring.
