Tulip ‘Palmyra’ is a bold and dramatic double late tulip, prized for its rich colouring and luxurious, peony-like blooms. Its large, fully double flowers are packed with velvety petals in deep maroon to near-black tones, creating a striking and sophisticated presence in the spring garden.
Flowering in late spring, ‘Palmyra’ grows to a height of around 40–45 cm, with sturdy stems that hold up well in typical spring weather. The dense, layered blooms add depth and texture to borders, containers, and floral arrangements, making it an excellent choice for both garden impact and cut flower displays.
Best planted in autumn in well-drained soil, Tulip ‘Palmyra’ thrives in full sun or partial shade. It pairs beautifully with lighter tulips or soft pastels, allowing its dark, dramatic tones to truly stand out.
