Description of Cyclamen Coum (Pack of 5 Bulbs) Cyclamen

Cyclamen are shade lovers. They will grow well in humus-rich, well-drained soil in either partial or full shade. Cyclamen Coum bulbs will flower in the winter from January to March and are fully hardy. They produce pretty, delicate deep pink flowers with silvery/green leaves marked with a marble effect. Cyclamen Coum will work well with other shade-loving plants.

Planting and growing instructions: Cyclamen Coum from the Gold Medal winning Harts Nursery

  • Find a location with well-drained, humus-rich soil
  • Cyclamen are shade lovers and grow well in full or partially-shaded areas.
  • If planting in the garden, plant the bulbs 6-8cm below the soil surface.
  • If planting in Pots, find a container and fill it with good-quality, well-drained soil. Ensure there is adequate draining holes.
  • Plant in the Autumn, September through November.
  • After planting, water the Cyclamen well, gently soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs.
  • Cyclamen will flower early in the year, January to March.

Plant care: Cyclamen Coum from the Gold Medal winning Harts Nursery

  • After flowering has finished for the season leave the foliage in place; don't cut it off. The leaves will gather sunlight, create food through photosynthesis and strengthen the bulbs for the future.
  • Water as needed during active growth periods.
  • Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted leaf mould around the crown of the plants in spring as the foliage starts to die back
