Gladioli ‘Jessica’ produces stunning salmon-rose flowers on tall, elegant stems, complemented by striking sword-shaped leaves—hence their nickname, the “Sword Lily.” Each bloom measures 10–12 cm across, and the plant can reach up to 100 cm in height, creating a dramatic and graceful display in your garden. Plant in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, and for maximum impact, grow in clumps or combine with contrasting colours to showcase their vibrant beauty.

Gladiolus can be planted about 2 weeks before the last expected spring frost. Gladiolus will take 70-90days to flower. For a continual display of flowers, plant a few corms every 2 weeks until early summer.

Summer Flowering Bulbs are dispatched from the end of February to the end of May.
All orders should be dispatched within 3-5 working days during this time.
However, during the months of April and May, we may allow up to 10 working days for dispatch due to exhibiting at the flower shows. 
Postage cost to mainland UK (excluding N.Ireland, Highlands and Isles) is £4.99.
All out of area postcodes are charged at £9.50.

Returns and Refunds

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched.
All returns must be returned at your cost within 7 days of receipt.
Payment for the returned goods will be refunded within 7 days of the goods being received by us, less the postage charges.

Planting Gladioli in the Garden

• Plant from March to May once the soil has warmed and the risk of hard frost has passed.
• Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Gladioli need plenty of light to flower well.
• Dig a hole 10–15cm (4–6 inches) deep.
• Place the corm with the pointed end facing up.
• Space 10–15cm apart.
• Cover with soil and firm gently.
• Water well after planting.

Planting Gladioli in Pots

• Use a large pot with drainage holes.
• Fill with good quality, free-draining compost.
• Plant corms 10–15cm deep.
• Space a little closer than in the ground (about 8–10cm apart).
• Place in a sunny, sheltered spot.
• Water well after planting and keep compost moist but not waterlogged.

Aftercare / Overwintering

During the growing season:

• Water regularly in dry weather.
• Feed every couple of weeks with a high-potash feed once buds appear.
• Stake taller varieties if needed.

After flowering:

• Allow foliage to die back naturally.
• Once yellow, cut back the leaves.

• Shake off soil and allow to dry.
• Store in a cool, dry, frost-free place over winter.
• Replant the following spring.
