Iris Danfordiae, the dwarf iris or Danford iris, is a bulbous perennial that will bring cheerful joy in the month of May! Plant alongside other iris' such as Reticulata for an explosion of blue and yellow.
 
Iris Danfordiae will produce a green/grey slender stem that will reach 10-15cm (4-6") tall and will hold one flower per stem.

  • Plant your iris bulbs in borders or containers in full sun or partial shade.
  • Plant bulbs 10-15cm / 4-6" deep.
  • Space the bulbs 5-10cm / 2-4" apart.
  • Plant with pointy end facing upwards.

How to care for Irises

  • Irises can be left over winter. Once they have finished flowering leave them to die back natrually before removing all dead foliage.
  • Lift and divide your bulbs every 3 to 5 years.
