Miniature Narcissus 'Rip Van Winkle'
Miniature Narcissus 'Rip Van Winkle' Rip Van Winkle Daffodil Rip Van Winkle Rip Van Winkle narcissi

Miniature Narcissus 'Rip Van Winkle' is a true little firecracker in the spring garden. Its unique, sparkler-like blooms are packed with frilly, bright yellow petals that burst outwards in a joyful, almost playful display — making it a real conversation piece among spring flowers.

Reaching a neat height of around 15 cm, 'Rip Van Winkle' is ideal for tucking into rockeries, containers, or the front of borders where its characterful form can really stand out. Despite its petite size, it delivers a big impact thanks to its unusual flower shape and vibrant colouring.

For a striking spring pairing, plant it alongside Chionodoxa (Glory of the Snow) — the soft blues and purples of Chionodoxa make a beautiful contrast against Rip Van Winkle's golden tones, creating a harmonious yet eye-catching combination.

Hardy, reliable, and full of personality, Miniature Narcissus 'Rip Van Winkle' is perfect for gardeners looking to add a playful twist to their spring bulb displays. A little daffodil with a lot of flair!

How to care for Narcissus

  • After flowering has finished for the season leave the foliage in place; don't cut it off. The leaves will gather sunlight, create food through photosynthesis and strengthen the bulbs for the future.

  • By mid summer the leaves may yellow and die back. Foliage may be removed at this point.
