Narcissus Tazetta 'Paperwhite'
Narcissus Tazetta 'Paperwhite' Paperwhites planted indoors for Christmas Paperwhites planted outside
A tender variety that will show itself earlier than most narcissus, Narcissus Tazetta 'Paperwhite', is also perfect for growing indoors and will produce a sweet scent that is to die for!

Paperwhites will produce multiple flowers per stem and are not just about being pure white with a gorgeous fragrance, they are also so easy to grow and will burst into action as soon as they are planted for indoors. Plant them indoors this autumn for the flowering during the festive season. Or plant them outside in your borders or pots for an early display of narcissus.

  • Find a location with well-drained soil. Daffodils will not thrive in water-logged areas.
  • Daffodils like to receive full sun for most of the day.
  • If planting in the garden, plant the bulbs with their pointed tops 10-15cm (4-6") below the soil surface with smaller bulbs placed more shallowly than larger ones. Space the bulbs 7-10cm (3-4") apart. Allow 4 to 5 bulbs per square foot.
  • If planting in Pots, find a large container and fill it with good-quality, well-drained soil. Ensure there is adequate draining holes.
  • Plant in the Autumn, September through November.
  • After planting, water the Daffodils well, gently soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs.
  • Daffodils will flower early Spring.
