Can't wait to see these in bloom next year - they have only produced foliage the first year hence the 4 stars. Large great bulbs.

Stunning! So simple to grow – put in the ground, wait, then giant perfect purple flowers on sturdy stems bloom for ages. Very impressive. They're meant to be unscented though the flower heads on mine did have an unpleasant odour close-up – I don't know why.

Stunning! Its the colour they remind me of red velvet chocolate cake especially with the raindrops on them.Such a shame I'm not able to post a picture

These can be a little hit & miss.
Some flowers are 100% white, some show promising purple edges and then turn white. Only about 50% show the lilac edges when the flowers are in full bloom. They are very beautiful and the plants are enormous - I would just prefer them to be the colours I wanted.

Grown in large terracotta patio pots, with plenty of sunlight, the bulbs put on an excellent display over a period of about 3 weeks. A very cheerful effect in Spring.
