This lovely scented member of the Gladiolus family, also known as Acidanthera Murielae is a great staple flower for your garden beds or patio pots. It's also ideal as cut flower as it lasts so long in a vase. Acidanthera Gladiolus Callianthus is also known as the Sword Lily. 

  • Position your corms in Full Sun to partial shade in well-drained, moist soil.
  • Plant your corms 10-16cm (4-6") deep and 10cm (4") apart. 
  • Plant in pots or directly in the garden. 
  • See 'Care Instructions' for protecting over the winter months.

Summer Flowering Bulbs are delivered in Spring

Delivery and P&P

Summer Flowering Bulbs are dispatched from the end of February to June.
All orders should be dispatched within 3-5 working days during this time.
Postage cost to the UK (excluding N.Ireland) is £4.99.
Orders over £50 qualify for FREE delivery.
Unfortunately, we are not currently delivering to the EU. See Delivery page.
When your order is due for dispatch, you will receive a tracking email from us to track your parcel with the Royal Mail or Caribou.
Your parcel will be sent on a 48 hour tracked service.

Returns and Refunds

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched.
All returns must be returned at your cost within 7 days of receipt.
Payment for the returned goods will be refunded within 7 days of the goods being received by us, less the postage charges.


Planting & Growing Instructions

  • Position your corms in Full Sun to partial shade in well-drained, moist soil.
  • Plant your corms 10-16cm (4-6") deep and 10cm (4") apart. 
  • Plant in pots or directly in the garden. 
  • See 'Care Instructions' for protecting over the winter months.

Care Instructions

  • If in pots, stop watering at the end of Summer and bring them indoors for winter to protect against frost.
  • Place back outside once the danger of winter frosts has passed. 
  • If in the garden, lift your corms when the leaves turn yellow/brown and store then in a dry, frost-free place.
  • Plant your Acidanthera Gladiolus Callianthus back outside once the danger of winter frosts have passed. 
  • Acidanthera Gladiolus Callianthus produce a fantastic display but they may need replacing after 2years of flowering.
