Galanthus Elwesii ‘Beluga’ is a magnificent large-flowered Snowdrop variety, admired for its striking blooms and delightful fragrance. As one of the earliest-flowering Snowdrops, it often emerges at the very start of the new year, bringing a much-needed touch of brightness to the winter landscape.

This variety features graceful, nodding, white bell-shaped flowers, each adorned with delicate green markings on the inner petals. Its foliage consists of elegant, grass-like leaves in a distinctive green-grey hue, providing a beautiful contrast against the snowy backdrop of winter. Not only is Beluga a visual delight, but its rich, sweet fragrance adds an extra layer of charm, making it a standout choice for any garden.

Like all Galanthus Elwesii, Beluga thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers partial shade, making it perfect for woodland gardens, borders, or naturalised plantings beneath deciduous trees. It is an excellent naturalizer, gradually forming larger clumps that return year after year with little maintenance.

For those looking to welcome the new year with beauty and fragrance, Galanthus eEwesii ‘Beluga’ is an exceptional choice, offering early-season interest and a delightful sensory experience in the garden.
