Narcissus 'Arctic Bells' is new this year
Narcissus 'Arctic Bells'
Narcissus 'Arctic Bells' Narcissus Bulbocodium Arctic Bells Arctic Bells narcisuss Arctic Bells
Narcissus Bulbocodium Arctic Bells starts off as a creamy-yellow and matures to an ivory-white with a hoop-petticoat appearance, hence the nickname. These dainty flowers have narrow trumpet blooms with a star-shaped outer petal layer.

Bulbocodium flower early in spring and will flower for weeks providing some early colour after the winter months.

  • Find a location with well-drained soil. Daffodils will not thrive in water-logged areas.
  • Daffodils like to receive full sun for most of the day.
  • If planting in the garden, plant the bulbs with their pointed tops 8-10cm (3-4") below the soil surface with smaller bulbs placed more shallowly than larger ones. Space the bulbs 3-5cm (1-2") apart. Allow 6-8 bulbs per square foot.
  • If planting in Pots, find a large container and fill it with good-quality, well-drained soil. Ensure there is adequate draining holes.
  • Plant in the Autumn, September through November.
  • After planting, water well, gently soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs.
  • Daffodils will flower early Spring.
