These bulbs were large and I planted last Autumn. The flowers are a stunning solid purple and attract bees, yet they are really robust and don't take up too much space, I have interplanted them near pinky purple foxgloves. Love them, great quality bulb. I have ordered lilies and other bulbs from Harts and always good, but these alliums are really stunners.

Stunning! So simple to grow – put in the ground, wait, then giant perfect purple flowers on sturdy stems bloom for ages. Very impressive. They're meant to be unscented though the flower heads on mine did have an unpleasant odour close-up – I don't know why.
