Galanthus 'Sam Arnott' is a highly regarded and much-loved variety of Snowdrop, prized for its elegant appearance and delightful fragrance. This classic cultivar produces pure white, nodding flowers adorned with a distinctive green "V" marking on the inner petals, giving it a refined and easily recognisable look.

One of the standout features of Sam Arnott is its sweet, honey-like scent, which is stronger and more noticeable than that of many other Snowdrop varieties. In addition to its appealing fragrance, this variety tends to flower slightly later than typical Snowdrops, often extending the blooming season well into late winter or early spring.

Like all Snowdrops, Sam Arnott thrives in semi-shaded locations, making it ideal for planting beneath deciduous trees, in woodland gardens, or amongst rockeries where it can naturalize over time. It performs well in a range of soil types, as long as the soil is well-drained yet moist during the growing season. Over the years, it will form generous clumps, creating a charming, low-growing display that brings early life and subtle fragrance to the garden after the depths of winter.
