When do I need to plant Longiflorum Oriental Lilies and do they need ericaceous compost?

Here is a brief guide to planting LO lilies:
• Longiflorum Oriental Lily Bulbs should be planted ideally in the Spring.
• Find a location with full sun or partial shade with well-drained soil.
• Longiflorum Oriental Lilies can tolerate most soil types, Acidic or Alkaline.
• Plant the bulbs with 4-6″ of soil above them.
