  • Find a location with well-drained soil. Daffodils will not thrive in water-logged areas.
  • Daffodils like to receive full sun for most of the day.
  • If planting in the garden, plant the bulbs with their pointed tops 10-15cm (4-6") below the soil surface with smaller bulbs placed more shallowly than larger ones. Space the bulbs 7-10cm (3-4") apart. Allow 4 to 5 bulbs per square foot.
  • If planting in Pots, find a large container and fill it with good-quality, well-drained soil. Ensure there is adequate draining holes.
  • Plant in the Autumn, September through November.
  • After planting, water the Daffodils well, gently soaking the soil to settle it around the bulbs.
  • Daffodils will flower early Spring.
