I have just received the red peony, but there were no planting instructions. I want to plant it in a pot. I am self isolating so I have only got ericaceous compost – is this ok?

Planting your peony in ericaceous compost in a pot is absolutely fine. Plant with the tips just at the surface and position in a sunny position. Ensure the pot has adequate drainage.
