Hi,
I have placed an order for a pack of 12 orange oriental trumpet lillies. I have read somewhere that they need to be planted on a bed of sharp sand? do I need to do this or can they go straight into dirt?

Good afternoon,
You can add grit or sand to your soil but if your soil is free-draining, you should be ok. Lilies will rot if they are waterlogged.
