I have recently purchased 2 bulbs which I would like to plant in a container. Would you be kind enough to advise the size of the container, can both bulbs be planted in the same container and should I use John Innes No 2 compost with added grit.

Ye, I would plant your 2 x Hymenocallis Bulbs into a 16-18 inch pot to allow for the foliage.
Yes John Innes No2 is fine. Added grit is always preferably to ensure the water is free draining and the bulbs don’t rot.
