Not grown Lilies for years, you have such a lovely variety… I’m tempted but do they have to be dug up at the end of the year, like dahlias and begonias or can they be left in the ground. I’ve just dug up a bamboo plant, which took over the garden, and would like to plant something in its place.

No lilies can stay where they are over winter. They can withstand minus 20 degrees so they are absolutely fine.
