Sign of growth

My bulbs showed no growth at all in the last two years yet still looked healthy in the compost. I thought they must have rotted away but inspection proved not. I had two large pots, bought in flower, one I eventually split up and repotted and never saw another flower and the other pot just seemed to go dormant.

If your lily bulbs are nice and firm they should be fine. Perhaps give them another chance for next year by replacing with fresh compost and ensuring slugs aren’t eating them. Sometimes the bulbs will get too damp over winter which stops them flowering, but this doesn’t seem the case this time. Usually OT lilies last about six years, how long have you had your lilies?
