What do I do to get the flowers on my lilies as big the following years.

I have Isobella from last year but the flowers are half the size. I feed with tomato feed. This year I have Lorena, Eremo and a few more, I would like to have big flowers next year like this year. What do I do? Your lilies are so beautiful. I have more on order for next year. Thanks, Kind regards, Pat

Hi there,

You need to ensure your lily bulbs are planted in the correct soil for each variety. So Lorena and Isabella like an ericaceous soil as they are Oriental Lilies and Eremo will prefer an Alkaline soil as they are an Asiatic Lily. I would advise mixing in some John Innes No.3 with a good multi-purpose compost for best results. Also, when feeding with a tomato feed, are you using 1/4 strength?
