Yes these begonia corms are much more mature than plug plants and you will get a lot more flower from them.

I bought some bulbs from Harts Nursery, all arrived in perfect condition. Really the best bulbs I have ever purchased! Unfortunately, when I was planting the lily Loveday, the growing pointy tip got broken halfway, but I planted it next to the other lilies nonetheless. Have I done the right thing i.e. to plant it anyway? I know that probably this year this lily won’t sprout or grow but will it grow next year? Should i remove it from the ground and maybe plant it in a pot until next February? Thank you.

Oh that’s a shame for you – don’t worry though as it will flower next year. I’d just leave it where it is and it will die down naturally and re-emerge next year.

You’ll notice the bulbs of the Hymenocallis have green shoots/tips, these needs to be pointed upwards.
