I would like to purchase 10 of your double lily bulbs – do I need to purchase 5 of 2 varieties to get the discounted price of £2 per bulb or can I get that price if I mix the varieties I order?

I was wondering when the best time to repot my Lilies would be. They suffered rather badly from lily beetle this year. Should I wait until they have completely died back? The bulbs I bought from your stand at Gardeners World live have been wonderful.
Hi there,
Have you tried using Neem Oil on your lilies to prevent the Lily beetle from attacking them? If not, try mixing 5ml Neem Oil with 1litre of Water and a squirt of Washing Up Liquid. Spray once a week with a fresh mix.
Regarding repotting your lilies, I would leave them in until they have died back completely. It will probably be later Autumn by this time.

If grown in pots, can you advise the best way to get them safely through winter?
Lily bulbs like a cold dormant phase so they are happy to stay outside through the winter, just ensure they do not get waterlogged.

I would say a 25-30 litre pot would be sufficient.

I have just placed an order online with you for 18 oriental lily bulbs, but would also like some dwarf oriental lilies. Do you expect to get any Entertainer and Mona Lisa in stock again.
Unfortunately, these dwarf lilies have been discontinued. We do still have Salmon Star and the Tiny Series of lilies.

I stay in the central belt in Scotland are Tree-like Lilies reasonably hardy and do they require special compost and do the bulbs multiply over time?
Tree lilies are very hardy, in fact they like a cold dormant phase and can tolerate down to -25 degrees. They are happy in any well-drained soil and will multiply over the years. After 3 years, remove the bulblets and replant.

I have noticed that there is what looks like little bulbs growing at the top of the leaves of the lilies. I wasn’t sure it they were new bulbs. Also should you take the bulbs out of the soil at the end of the season and rest them over winter.
Do not be tempted to lift them as Lilies are hardy flowers and like a cold dormant phase and need to be left over winter.
The bulbs you mention on the leaves are seeds, they can be removed and planted. In 3 to 4 years they will bloom into a mature lily.
