End of season care

Good afternoon.
Should lilies be deadheaded?
Should the previous season’s growth be left for a few weeks/ months as per other bulbs, eg. daffodils, so as to allow energy to return to the bulb?

Yes you absolutely right. Cut the flower heads off and leave the foliage to die back naturally. Once everything has turned brown/yellow, it can be removed. Leave the lilies outside for winter as they like a cold dormant phase, they just can’t stand get waterlogged so ensure there is plenty of drainage.
