In the early days most of my newly potted lilies were nibbled away by squirrels! How can I nurture the bulbs for next year when at least three bulbs have shown no growth above the soil, and others show 8 inches of leaved stem only?
Thank goodness 6 survived.
It’s the pink purple colouring that attract the varmits!!

I would advise giving your lilies a slow release fertiliser when they start to show signs of growth again in the spring. You could also give them a tomato feed with half the diluted strength.
