Pink Heaven Lily

I bought some sumptuous lillies a few years ago, to go in pots. Pink Heaven. I top the soil up every year, however this year the leaves have turned a brown colour. More than normal. Should i pull the bulbs out completely and repot for next year. ( i think i will anway) I have cut the flowers which are now flowering beautifully , for a vase. This is my favourite lilly and love it from your nursery – but want the best results. XXX

Good evening,

Pink Heaven is a stunning variety. We do advise lifting your lily bulbs after 3 to 4 years and dividing them and replanting. You could also try feeding your lilies with a tomato feed at a 1/4 of the usual strength.

As you say you have cut your lily flowers for indoor use, they may not flower brilliantly the following year as the bulbs need the foliage to die back naturally to re-energise for the following year’s flower. It may take a couple of years for your lilies to gain momentum again.
