Lily called Ralph

This question was asked by
P. Hardy

Do you stock a hybrid lily named ‘Ralph’ . Have just come across it in one of Beth Chatto’s books.

No – I’m sorry we do not have that variety. I’d be interested to see it though as my nephew is called Ralph 🙂

Kind regards

what month to plant lily's?

This question was asked by
B. James

hi team I chomping at the bit to receive the 48 lily bulb’s I purchased from you in 2019, I’m wondering in what month to plant the bulb’s? March surly? yours Brendon

Hi there Brendon,
Thanks for your email. We are currently starting to send out all lily bulb orders ready for planting. You should receive yours in the next couple of weeks. Ideally, we recommend planting lilies in the Spring for Summer flowering. So as soon as you receive them, you will need to plant them. Fingers crossed this wet and horrid weather improves.

Kind regards

Lily Pyreneum

This question was asked by
Margaret Johnson

I have a small yellow Turks cap type lily with a delicate scent that has been growing in my garden since I moved here. I’ve finally identified it as lily pyreneum and have seen it growing wild in several places in the Lake District. I would like to purchase bulbs or if not seed to increase my now one solitary plant. Do you have any stock or if not could you let me know where I could obtain some. My searches on the internet have not been successful , yours hopefully Margaret Johnson

Hello there,
That’s new one on me. Do you mean Lilium Pumilum?

Miss Lucy lily

This question was asked by
Coleen

I am trying to find miss Lucy lilies or even a rose Lucy. I see you had the lilies but currently you do not, will you be restocking them at all?
Thank you

Unfortunately, Miss Lucy Lily bulbs have been discontinued by the grower. Have you tried Soft Music or Kendra. These are both white double oriental lilies with a touch of pink.

Availability of lily stock

This question was asked by
J. Kasperuk

Hello,
just wanted to check if the varieties that are showing as ‘out of stock’ have already been sold out for 2019 or if the site hasnt yet been updated?
thank you

We have updated everything online now. Some items may be Out of Stock for now but they may become available if we get new crops in due course depending on the crop.

Hope that helps.

Miss Lucy

This question was asked by
K. Greenfield

I’ve been trying to find Miss Lucy bulbs off and on for a while now but am struggling to find any. You are out of stock…do you know when you will have more to sell??
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there,
Unfortunately, Miss Lucy has been discontinued as the crop kept failing. It was a shame as it’s such a lovely looking lily. Have you looked at Roselily Kendra. That is a similar looking lily with the soft pink edges like Miss Lucy. Kendra Lily has a glorious scent without the pollen too!

Why do you ship lilies in February?

This question was asked by
U. Fochler

I am interested in Lily bulb Black Beauty.
Why is the shipping not earlier than February?

Hi there,

Lilies need planting in the Spring for Summer flowering that is why we ship them throughout the months of Feb to May. The lily bulbs will be lifted in February ready for dispatch. Black Beauty is a stunning variety!
Hope this helps.
