Good afternoon,
Yes, we always supply a minimum of 16/18cm sized lily bulbs which will produce a good strong stem with a good amount of flowers. We exhibit our lilies at all the major RHS flowers shows using our bulbs for our cut flower displays.

Thank you for my recent parcel of Lilies , you very kindly sent me an extra pack of Lilies which are called Zelmira – I cannot find them on your website – could you let me know what colour they are?

My order says Completed, when will I receive it?

I have received an email from Harts Nursery to say my order has been completed. What does that mean and when I can expect my order to be delivered?

Hi there,
Once we have packaged your lily bulbs, you will receive a notification from us by email to say your order is Complete. We will then send your lily bulbs by Royal Mail on a tracked 48hour delivery service. Once your parcel is in the hands of the Royal Mail, you should then receive an email or text message (depending on the information you gave when ordering with us) from them to confirm the estimated delivery day/time.
You can also track your parcel with the Royal Mail at: https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item
using your consignment number.

Cali, Pontiac, Dalian Lilies

Hi, I have received the above order following the order placed at Wisley flower show – Cali,Pontiac and Dalian.
However I don’t know what type of lily these are as only one appears on your website. We have alkaline soil and if they require ericaceous soil I need to know so I can grow them in pots.

Good afternoon,
That’s a rather good question as 2 of these varieties were only available to purchase from us at the Show as we have a limited stock so they aren’t available online. All 3 varieties will require an ericaceous soil, we recommend mixing (50/50) a multipurpose compost with John Innes No.3 for best results. Just so you know, Lilium Cali is a Longiflorum Oriental Hybrid; Lilium Pontiac is an Oriential Trumpet and as you’ve probably seen on our website, Lilium Dalian is also an Oriental Trumpet Lily. The Oriental Trumpet Lilies are quite happy to be planted in either Alkaline or Acidic soils but we’d recommend the mix I’ve mentioned above for pots. Hope this helps!

Soil for Double Oriental Lily 'My Wedding'

Should these be potted using ericaceous compost as they are going in tubs? Many thanks

Hello Susan,
Yes, Oriental Lilies like ericaceous (acidic) soil. You can try mixing it half and half with John Innes No. 3 for best results.

Compost for Lankon Lily

I have received my order today including a Lankon Lily, can you tell me if it needs acidic or alkaline compost as I cannot find it on the website at the moment.

Hi there,
We advise using an acidic soil for Lankon, John Innes No3 mixed (50/50) with a multi-purpose compost would work brilliantly.

Lily storage and the cold weather ahead

I have received my order of lily bulbs from you today, and read they must be planted asap, but the soil is frozen with forecast of snow. How long can I keep them as they are, and where is the best place…

Hi there,
This is a really good question for all our customers receiving their lilies this week. You’re right, the weather is looking rather cold with the risk of snow so it’s not ideal to get out in the garden to start planting. Don’t worry though, your lilies will be absolutely fine if kept somewhere cold (e.g a garage) for a few weeks until the wintery spell has passed and you can get our and enjoy your garden!
