I’ve just received my Lillie if the valley bulbs and wonder if it’s best to plant them in pots , ( if pots which size?) first or direct into the flower beds?
Thanks
Carla
HI there,
It’s entirely up to you on where you wish to plant your roots.
If you wish to plant your lily of the valley in pots, fill the pot with compost and plant about 5-10cm deep leaving the shoot just above the surface.
Plant pointy end up and space your roots 5-10cm apart. So based on this, it will depend how many roots you want to plant per pot but allow for 5-10cm space between each root.
Water in after planting and keep hydrated.
