What type of potting soli do I require for these bulbs. I have planted these previously in leaf mould grit and compost in equal proportions
Could you suggest the best medium for potted bulbs I can stand outside in protective situation.

Hi there,
I would suggest using John Innes No. 3 with plenty of sand or grit for the drainage.

How would I plant 3 bulbs if I wanted to grow in pots would they need a pot each and what size pot do I need and what compost .
It’s personal choice on how you wish to plant them. If you want 3 in a pot, we would advise a 12″ pot. A free-draining, multi-purpose compost will be fine, or try John Innes No. 3.

Yes they will. In fact, lilies are very hardy and like a cold dormant phase so they are happy to stay out.
