Wanting to order now but not expecting bulbs until early March.

Are these surface planted – with only lower half below surface?

Hi John

Yes that is correct. Nerines will be dispatched in the Spring (you can choose which month from your Basket). They need planting with their necks above ground. Have you seen our Breeder’s Blend – the colours look magnificent together.

Lilies for planting in autumn

Please could you tell me if I can still plant Lilium Candidum in beds or pots now. If the answer is no how should I store the bulbs until it is safe to plant them. I live in Kent and we have had a couple of frosts but are mainly putting up with rain. My soil is a lovely loam with good drainage. Thank you.

Hi Trisha

Yes, you need to plant your Lilium Candidum now. As long as you have good drainage you can plant them in your borders. Pots are great for Lilium Candidum too.

I am looking to buy gizmo lilies as a gift, I have read dispatch for the lily bulbs is Feb to June. Is this correct?

Hi Angie

Yes this is correct as lilies need planting in the spring for summer flowering. If it’s a gift for Christmas, may I suggest sending a gift voucher containing a personal message suggesting you wanted to them to order the Gizmo lilies.

Dahlia tubers

Hi, I was hoping to order some spring planting dahlias (for summer flowers) to give as a Christmas present, but everywhere seems to want to send them out in the Spring. Is it possible to get a delivery before Christmas? Thanks.

Hi Richard

Unfortunately not, Dahlias are not lifted just yet and won’t be ready until the spring. You can pre-order them for february delivery.

You could always send a Gift Certificate and greeting card if you wanted to send it as a present for someone and they can choose some dahlias for next year.

Hi
I am looking at buying some dahlia bulbs. Are you still shipping these out? or if I order now will I not receive them until next year. They are for a present and so wanted to clarify the delivery before making the purchase

Delivery of Dahlia tubers is in february next year. We only have Autumn planted bulbs for this time of year, like Tulips, Alliums etc. You can find all the stock we have left in our end of season sale, however, we are selling out fast.
