Lilies in a conservatory

Please could you tell me if I can grow lilies in an indoor, unheated north facing conservatory?
I’d be most grateful to hear from you.

We grow our lilies in a glass house so they will be absolutely fine. Just ensure the containers they are in have plenty of drainage.

Do you sell a tall upright white lily we only know it’s name as Ice Breaker. I am waiting to put a order in but that is one my friend wants as well as another one so I want to get the order in one go. Thank you speak to you soon to order.

That isn’t a lily we have but we have plenty of tall lilies under the section Tree-like Lilies. These can reach a staggering height of 7ft! If you would like a particular colour, you can use our search filter at the top of each category page to help you narrow your choice down.

Splitting Lilies

When is the best time to split lilies up, I tend to leave them in same tub, but there are too many now.

You can lift, divide and replant your lilies once everything has died back from the last season and before signs of growth of the following season.

Now should be a good time.

‘Samantha’ Roselily

Hi sorry to bother you but we bought some ‘Samantha’ Roselily bulbs from you last year and they were lovely! We followed the instructions and cut off the dead flowers but left the stems! We now have what looks like dead/brown/woody stems and we are not sure what to do now? Do we need to remove the stems now so the new stems will grow? Sorry we haven’t had any of these before and are hoping if we do it right they will be a lovely this year too! I await your expert answer! Many thanks Samantha

Yes you can remove the stems now, you should start to see new growth in the Spring.

Voodoo lily & gloriosa plants

Do you stock voodoo lilies or similar and will they flower this year,same for gloriosa .can they be grown outside in sunny Warrington

We have the Cobra Lily and Gloriosa the Flame Lily. Both of which can be grown outside. We always suggest starting the Gloriosa off indoors and putting outside during the summer months.
