Hi,
Can you tell me if you have any Lily bulbs in stock or if you will have any more in this month. I did purchase some again recently but I am hoping to buy some more from you so that I will have them flowering late on into autumn like i had last year. In fact I still had one lily flower on Christmas day last year

I’m afraid we have stopped sending out our lily bulbs now. We have some still available to purchase at the flower shows if you are attending any of those, this week we are exhibiting at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show and then onto RHS Tatton Park at the end of the month. You can now pre-order them for delivery in February next year.

I like to know what most scented lilies you have in stock pack of 10-15.

Our lilies will be available to pre-order very soon. Please keep checking back on our website and/or click on one of the links to be notified when something is back in stock. As a general rule of thumb, the whiter the variety of lily the stronger the scent – this is with anything mixed with an oriental lily though. Asiatic lilies do not carry a scent as they attract the insects by their bright colours.

Many many years ago I had some lilies from you which I believe were called Lakton. They were tree lilies with white/purple speckled flowers.
They have since become less and less productive and I am looking to replace them but I can’t seem to find them on your site any more.
Are they still available? If not, could you suggest an alternative of a similar colour?

Yes that sounds like Lankon – unfortunately we do not have that one any more. Have you seen Sweet Zanica? These will reach about 100cm in height are really pretty. They will be available to pre-order soon for delivery in February next year.

In 2019 I put down a large number of allium Gladiator, they bloomed in 2020 but nothing at all this year. Also have two large pots in which I had a mix of smaller allium and almost all have disappeared, I wonder why please?

It could be a number of factors…How did you care for them after the alliums had finished flowering? Did you remove the flower heads and leave the stems and foliage to die back to feed the bulb so it flowers the following year? Have you checked to see if the bulbs are still there and intact? Do you have drainage holes in your pots – they may have got too wet and rotted away.

Hi, I am a lover of lilies but alas, so many succumb to the dreaded lily beetle. Apart from picking them off by hand which is never ending with the many that I grow, can you advise on any beetle resistant lilies and what sprays can be used/home made possibly, bearing in mind that I garden organically.

You could try our lily beetle prevention spray which is environmentally friendly or you could make up your own garlic solution. Crush a whole corm of garlic in a small pan of boiling water. Allow to cool, strain and put in a small container in the fridge. When using, dilute three parts water to one part garlic solution. Spray often, every few days, especially when it has rained. There is a garlic product available in garden centres and stores, but this is a much cheaper alternative.

I bought a pack of 15 begonias from you that I planted immediately on receipt in May.
They now have wonderful large foliage but only 1 blossom in the whole lot.

Hi Jasmine
You could try to give them a diluted tomato feed to help. They will keep producing flower heads, deadhead faded flower heads regularly, this will encourage new growth for longer.
